For one afternoon, Camping Zeeburg transforms into a lively neighbourhood celebration filled with music, vintage treasures, tasty food and cheerful camping chaos. Browse through market stalls full of unique finds, grab something delicious to eat and enjoy live music throughout the day. Have your future predicted or wander around the campsite discovering all there is to see.

For kids there will be face painting, a treasure hunt, colouring contest, bouncy castle and a magician with a fun interactive show. Come by, meet your neighbours and enjoy a relaxed afternoon full of atmosphere and good vibes. End the day with a drink, a festive music bingo and maybe even a night of camping under the stars.

On Sunday September 6, Orquesta Los Lamalos returns to Camping Zeeburg for a sizzling evening of salsa.

Expect pure, energetic salsa with a powerful big band sound, fiery rhythms, passionate vocals and a horn section that will blow you away. Come feel the music, listen and dance the evening away.

The band will perform two sets between 18:00 and 20:30.

On Friday 11 September, Camping Zeeburg welcomes the band MyCo for a cosy live performance in our café-restaurant.

MyCo is a four-piece semi-acoustic band with a wide and accessible repertoire. From Ed Sheeran and Miley Cyrus to well-known sing-along classics by André Hazes. The band moves smoothly between genres, from the warm sounds of Simon & Garfunkel to the powerful energy of Seven Nation Army. Songs by Fleetwood Mac, Sting, Blondie, Danny Vera, Beyoncé, Anouk, Adele and many more are also part of their set.

What makes MyCo special is the harmony and interaction between the male and female vocals, combined with a mix of Dutch and English songs in a unique acoustic style. This creates a varied and enjoyable performance with something for everyone.

On Sunday October 11, we're delighted to welcome De Bloesjes back to Camping Zeeburg.

This cheerful women's pop choir from Amsterdam-IJburg has been performing for over twenty years, bringing a varied repertoire of pop classics, French chansons and well-loved Dutch songs. Their harmonies, energy and joy on stage make every performance a celebration.

On Saturday 24 October, Camping Zeeburg once again joins the Night of the Night, together with the Amsterdam Public Observatory (Volkssterrenwacht Amsterdam).

The Night of the Night takes place every year during the weekend when daylight saving time ends. The event raises awareness about the importance of darkness and the impact of light pollution on nature and our view of the night sky.

From 19:30, several telescopes will be set up and experienced volunteers from the observatory will guide you through the wonders of the night sky. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll switch to an interactive planetarium presentation indoors.

What can you see?

The Moon will be a thin crescent and sets early in the evening. Mercury, Venus and Mars will also disappear shortly after sunset. Saturn will be visible throughout the evening, and its spectacular rings are always a highlight through the telescope.

We'll also try to spot Uranus and Neptune. Although challenging from the city, both planets may appear as tiny blue-green discs through the telescope.

Other celestial highlights include:

• The Andromeda Galaxy
• The globular cluster M13
• The Pleiades
• The Ring Nebula (M57)
• The Dumbbell Nebula (M27)
• Double stars such as Albireo and Alcor/Mizar
